Community Bible Class

This is your invitation to "Community Bible Class"

Why do people come to Jesus?  When Jesus was on the earth people came to Him for a variety of reasons.  Some were sick... or they had a child or friend who was sick, some were lonely and discouraged, some were hungry, some were searching for the truth.  They came because they had a need.  Most had tried everything else and their need had not been met.

Jesus no longer physically walks the earth, but He did not leave us alone.  He left His family of servants -- the church.  As His disciples, we make it the focus of our lives to reach out and befriend those who have needs.

Too often, churches appear to be "closed communities" -- associating with "only our own."  Jesus reached across every social, racial and economic barrier to befriend anyone and everyone.  We want to do the same.

For the past eight years we have had a "Community Bible Class" which meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday mornings in our Outreach Center at 1322 West Hillsboro.  We have folks from different denominations around the area who are active members of this class.

The class is fun and encouraging.  People come for many reasons.  We sing, pray, study our Bible, eat together and make monthly trips to regional sites of interest.

We have a large group of widows who call themselves "No Spouse In The House."  They also meet at additional times to go out to eat together, make trips, and work on craft projects for orphanages, shut-ins and nursing homes.

You would enjoy this class.  It meets a variety of needs.  If you would like additional information, please call the church office at (870) 863-4714 or email us at hillsborococ@gmail.com.  Better yet, just "come as you are" next Wednesday morning.
