John Fields is the new pulpit minister at the Hillsboro Street Church of Christ effective July 6th, 2008.

Fields is a native of Atkins, Arkansas and graduated from Atkins High School.  He continued his education at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas where he received a bachelor’s degree in Bible.

Prior to coming to El Dorado, Fields served churches in Clinton, Arkansas for five years, Valley Mills, Texas for four years and Elkin, North Carolina for four years.

Fields has worked with different mission teams in Ghana, West Africa, in planting more than a dozen churches.   He has conducted leadership and other teaching seminars in Ghana.

 

Fields is married to the former Donna Bowman of Savannah, Georgia.  They have three children, Jonathan, Haley and Maddie, who will be students in the El Dorado school system.  Donna will be employed by the El Dorado School District as an elementary teacher.
